A few days later, after playing hours and hours of that new game, they both grew tired of it.

"Hey dude, do you want to go get something to eat?" Mordecai asked his fellow raccoon.

"Sure, dude! Let's go!" Rigby said as he jumped up from the couch, excited to get something for lunch. Mordecai grabbed the keys from the shelf and the duo went out of the door, walked down the steps and into the cart. Turning the key in the ignition, the cart lunged forward and onto the path; making their way to Cheezers, a place where awesome grilled cheeses came from.

Mordecai steered the cart into the parking lot and parked the cart. Getting out of the cart, the duo walked across the parking lot and into Cheezers.

"Welcome to Cheezers!" One of the employees said while the two walked through the glass doors. Mordecai walked ahead to the ordering counter.

"May I take your order?"

"Yes, two Grilled Cheese Deluxes please," the avian asked politely.

"That will be $6.50 sir," the kind girl said with a mouthful of braces. Mordecai handed her the money and she put it in the cash register. Both Mordecai and Rigby moved to the side and waited on their food, letting the people behind them have a chance to order.

A few minutes later, they called their receipt number and Rigby went up to pick up the tray of food. Mordecai waited at the table, sending numerous text messages to his love; pressing the buttons at a fast rate, if only you could keep count. Rigby frowned at this as he approached the "busy" avian. He set the tray down in front of Mordecai, trying to get his attention that the food was there.

Mordecai looked up to see his grilled cheese sandwich. "Oh, it's here?" He questioned.

"Yeeeah.." Rigby said as his eyebrows lowered. The raccoon took a seat across from Mordecai as both of them took small and big bites out of their lunch. Rigby was first to finish his lunch as the avian continued to nom on his food. Rigby hesitated for a second and he finally spoke.

"So...Mordecai?"

Mordecai wiped his mouth off with the nearest napkin. "Yes, dude?"

"So, how have you been?"

Mordecai couldn't help but feel awkward at this moment, "Good, I guess."

Rigby stayed silent as he too felt awkward at the time; they both did. Rigby shrugged it off as Mordecai continued to eat. Mordecai was always a slow eater.

A few hours passed and the duo had already did their chores for the day. Surprisingly, Benson was impressed of their work and let them have the rest of the day off. Rigby turned on the television and started to play his video game that he bought earlier in the week, until the game came to a pause as the avian ran through the living room and out the front door.

"Hmm, I wonder what's the hurry. Probably because his Margaret isn't answering his text messages or something. Hmm, what a load of bologna," the raccoon thought to himself. He rolled his eyes some more and continued to play his game. Margaret sent Mordecai a text message stating that she needed to have an important talk with him. Mordecai was curious about the talk and headed to the Coffee Shop.

*****Earlier that Day*****

Rigby sipped his black coffee as the mole tried her best to flirt with him. Rigby ignored her attempts and sat there, watching the TV. She finally gave up and handed the raccoon his check.

"Thanks for coming, Rigby," she said while walking off. Rigby just ignored her failed attempt and shrugged it off. He looked over and saw the robin taking orders at different tables; writing down orders and delivering their cups of coffee and sandwiches on small white plates.

Rigby smiled as she moved closer to his table.

"Excuse me Margaret. Do you have a second?"

Margaret glanced over and noticed that Rigby was alone at the table.

"Uh yeah, sure," the robin responded. Rigby leaned over the table and pulled out his phone. "You see this?"

Margaret squinted at Rigby's phone screen since her eyes were sensitive. Her eyes were small and then they grew in seconds, opening her mouth in shock. Rigby had shown her a picture that he captured with his phone's camera. The picture was of Mordecai hugging on this other girl.

But she didn't know this. It was an old High School friend that he made when Rigby decided to drop out. Her name was Lily and she recently transferred to that exact same High School Mordecai went to. They were great friends until they graduated and moved on with their lives. She went ahead, registered for college and took her Liberal Arts, or her basics. She came by to visit Mordecai since it had been quite a long time since they have chatted.

Rigby stood at the sidelines and watched the two hug and laugh with each other, giving each other small kisses on the the cheeks, which is a greeting like 'Hello' in some countries around the world. Just at the right moment, he pulled out his phone and capture the two hugging, kissing, and laughing. He quickly put his phone away before Mordecai noticed what he was doing.

Mordecai cut the engine off of the cart and got out, making his way inside the glass door. Margaret was busy of course, so the blue avian just took a seat at a table. It took a while before Margaret noticed Mordecai since she was busy at the moment. She finally had some time to herself, noticed Mordecai, and made her way to the table where he was sitting at.

"H-Hey Margaret. You needed to talk to me about something?" Mordecai nervously said.

"Yes. I do. Can you explain this?" She said as she pulled out her phone, showing Mordecai the picture of him and that girl hugging and smiling. Mordecai couldn't help but be surprised by the picture. He wondered how she got that on her phone. (Rigby sent it to her through text message, if anyone didn't get that).

"Uh.."

"Yeah, you have no words to describe this? Just like all of the other guys who did this to me. It hurts. Whatever, I won't be seeing you ever again. We're. Done." Margaret said without giving Mordecai and chance to say anything.

"No! Margaret, please. Let me explain! That is a friend from High School. I am not cheating on you, I promise! I would never do that to you! I love you..." Mordecai explained, but it was pointless. Margaret already blocked out his "excuses" and looked at him with fire in her eyes. She couldn't believe that he "cheated" on her.

"God, what a load of crap," she thought to herself while staring at Mordecai.

"I don't understand! H-H-...How did you get that picture of Lily and I?"

"Rigby sent it to me through text message. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do," she said as she turned around, leaving the shocked and puzzled avian at the yellow table... alone.

Mordecai played with his thumbs, slouching over the table; not caring about his posture. Tears began to form in his eyes since he couldn't believe that his best friend sent her that message to her phone and now he was single again. He was so close to being with the one he loved forever, and now, it is screwed up. The tears got heavier as he buried his head in his folded arms on that table. What was the depressed avian going to do now? …
